After a two-year COVID-induced hiatus, the world’s biggest firearms trade show and networking event returned to the Las Vegas strip and the NIOA sales and marketing team was there in force.
SHOT Show covered a sprawling 800,000 square feet at the Venetian and Caesar’s Forum with more than 2400 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services from January 17-21.
National sales manager Brad Johnson, national marketing manager Matthew Williamson and marketing manager (sporting) Jason Dietrich flew the flag for NIOA, meeting face-to-face with manufacturers for the first time in two years.
“Las Vegas locals welcomed the return of the show and many other conventions in January, commenting on how the city was alive again and the economic stimulus that comes with conventions,” Brad said.
“Our team was excited for the opportunity to get back there in person to shore up those strong relations and find out what’s new for the Australian shooting market.
“Although there were some late withdrawals by exhibitors like Ruger and Savage, the show had a great vibe with those who really wanted to do business attending and are here getting valuable time with suppliers.
“It’s important for NIOA to be at these events so we can find and deliver the best products to the Australian shooter.”
Jason said Australian shooters were in store for some great new products.
“Wow, what a show,’’ he said. “It had a more relaxed feel with plenty of space to social distance, with many great smiles and catch-ups had.
“Watch out for a few great products this year. One is the long-awaited return of the 4500 Elite series of rifle scope.
“I was also excited to see and touch the Frankford Arsenal Progressive reloading press. I think this will be a big hit for the Australian reloader.”
SHOT Show veteran Matt said: “SHOT show is an extraordinary event which brings the best suppliers in our industry to one place. It's a place where NIOA can identify new and emerging products for the Australian market."
